The Behavioural Biology and Evolutionary Ecology (BE) lab studies the mechanisms and evolutionary and ecological processes shaping animal behaviour, reproduction, life histories, population dynamics, responses to environmental change, and population persistence. Using laboratory experiments, field studies, population monitoring, quantitative genetics, genomics, and conservation research, we work across spiders, insects, subterranean crustaceans, and other invertebrates.
